POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Learning Specialist will facilitate delivery of classroom, online, and one-on-one learning solutions based on fundamental adult learning principles on a specific subject matter including various desktop applications such as Thomson Advisor and PriceMetrix. In addition, the Senior Learning Specialist will be involved in designing and developing technology curricula. The target audience is Financial Consultants, Branch Office Managers and Operations Associates in the branch system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct needs assessment as necessary to develop and maintain technology curriculum.
• Work in conjunction with instructional designer and develop materials as needed.
• Work with Director of Learning and instructional designer to design and develop internal certification program (“train the trainer”) for Learning Specialist positions. Act as a liaison with appropriate business unit when new technology is implemented at Janney to ensure inclusion in the technology curriculum.
• Deliver courses (live or virtual) that meet end user needs.
• Maintain and deliver content based on established lesson plans.
• Facilitate transfer of learning based on incorporation of customized learning techniques.
• Interface with business units and subject matter experts (SMEs) as necessary.
• Assist with tracking and evaluation of learning programs.
• Report on various learning events.
• Apply adult learning and development theory to learning program delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
• Minimum three years experience in a facilitative role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in an educational field desired but not required.
• Experience in instructional design or course development preferable.
• Experience delivering technology learning programs preferable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at various levels within the organization.
• Ability to travel between 50-75% of the time.
• High ethical standards.
• Series 7 license preferred.
