Thomas J. Ferraro is presently Managing Director, Head of Equities at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, responsible for the firm’s efforts in equity sales, trading and research. He has held this position since October 2008. He joined Janney in May 2008 as a Managing Director and Head of Institutional Equity Sales and acting Director of Research. Before joining Janney he was a partner at Anchor Capital Group, a hedge fund. In addition he served as a senior member of Anchor’s seed investor, J. Christopher Capital. Mr. Ferraro spent the majority of his career on Wall Street with Credit Suisse First Boston where he held positions in institutional equity sales and sales management. Prior to his career on Wall Street, Mr. Ferraro was a member of the management team which launched Music Choice, the multi-platform music network. Mr. Ferraro is a graduate of St. Lawrence University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and history. He lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife and three children. He serves on the board of trustees of Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, an independent K-12 school located in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, PA.
