Mr. Kalinowski presently serves as Lead Restaurant Analyst for Janney, having joined the firm in August 2009. His prior position was as Lead Restaurant Analyst for Buckingham Research Group. At Buckingham, Mr. Kalinowski earned the No. 1 rankings in 2006 for Institutional Investor’s “Best Boutiques & Regionals” and “Best Independents” regarding his restaurant-industry coverage. Prior to this, Mr. Kalinowski spent nine years with Citi/Smith Barney, with most of that time spent analyzing the restaurant industry. Awards he earned while with Citi include three “All-Star Analyst Team” rankings by Institutional Investor and a Wall Street Journal “Best on the Street” award for successful stock picking. To this day, Mr. Kalinowski continues to publish his proprietary McDonald’s Franchisee Survey, which he began in 2003 while with Citi. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
