Nicholas Aberle

Nicholas Aberle is a Director in the Equity Research Department at Janney Capital Markets, where he covers the semiconductor device industry. In 2009, Mr. Aberle was ranked No. 6 overall, out of 87 semiconductor and semiconductor equipment analysts with respect to relative portfolio return as calculated by Starmine. His stock recommendations in 2009 drove industry excess return of over 10% and he was one of two semiconductor analysts with a 5-Star (Starmine) rating for recommendation performance.

Mr. Aberle currently has over nine years of investment analysis experience which includes exposure on both the buy-side and sell-side. Prior to joining the Capital Markets division at Janney, he worked for Caris & Company from 2003-2010, as the lead semiconductor analyst. Before Caris, Mr. Aberle served as a Junior Equity Analyst for two years at Nicholas Applegate Capital Management, generating investment ideas for the International Small Cap and International Core Growth portfolios. Prior to his tenure at Nicholas Applegate, he worked at Crystal Asset Management as a Portfolio Analyst.

Mr. Aberle currently holds the Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 registrations, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego. He is also a Level 2 CFA candidate.
