Alan Schankel is the Head of Fixed Income Research & Strategy and serves on the Firm Management Committee. He has 40 years of industry experience, including 20 at Janney. Mr. Schankel’s career includes management roles in municipal underwriting and trading at two other regional firms as well as ownership of a specialty municipal bond boutique. He is active in a variety of industry groups, has served on the FINRA Fixed Income Committee and is active as a regular arbitrator for the FINRA. Mr. Schankel is a graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Past President of both the Bond Club of Philadelphia and the Municipal Bond Club of Philadelphia.
