Taxable Fixed Income Trading  
Mr. Reed joined Janney in June 2007 and has over 14 years of industry experience within the fixed income marketplace. Currently, Mr. Reed is responsible for the Firm’s Taxable Fixed Income Trading business which includes the oversight of both the retail and institutional trading platforms. He also has direct management of the overall retail client service and marketing efforts to include the positioning and communication of Janney’s fixed income product set to the Firm’s Private Client Group.

Mr. Reed joined Janney from the Radian Group, Inc. where he was responsible for credit research and portfolio management for Radian’s $5 billion fixed income investment portfolio. Prior to Radian, Mr. Reed was the Fixed Income Trading Manager at LPL Financial. At LPL, he supervised a team of taxable and tax-exempt traders responsible for the execution of all fixed income transactions for the largest independent financial advisor force in the country. In addition, his experience includes trader roles in various taxable and tax-exempt markets at firms such as American International Group and Fiserv Securities.

Mr. Reed is a General Securities Principal, a Municipal Securities Principal and a General Securities Representative with FINRA. Mr. Reed holds a Bachelors of Science in Finance from Colorado State University as well as a Masters of Finance from Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business.
