Vice President 
Ms. Desens is a Vice President at Janney and has 10 years experience in municipal finance. She joined the Firm in 2009 from the municipal finance group at UBS Investment Bank, where she served as Senior Manager for general obligation and revenue bond financings primarily in New England. At Janney, Ms. Desens supports the municipal effort in the New England region, with primary responsibility for providing day-to-day banking, quantitative analysis and transaction execution. Her public finance experience includes fixed and variable rate financings as well as cash flow modeling, analysis and transaction execution for colleges and universities, state treasuries, housing agencies, transportation authorities, state revolving funds and local government entities, among others.

Ms. Desens has structured and sold over $12 billion of general obligation and revenue bonds during her 10 years in the industry. Over the course of her career, she has worked with and analyzed debt profiles for issuers including the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, Clark University, Harvard University, Northeastern University, the University of Massachusetts Building Authority, Connecticut College, Sarah Lawrence College, Carnegie Mellon, Assumption College, Catholic University, Duquesne, Nichols College as well as the State of Rhode Island, South County Hospital, Rhode Island Student Loan Authority, Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority, Rhode Island Housing, Rhode Island Clean Water Finance Agency, Rhode Island cities and towns, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, MassHousing, the Massachusetts School Building Authority, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Maine State Housing Authority and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Ms. Desens graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern University with a degree in International Business.
