Mr. Schmucker joined Janney Montgomery Scott in 2008. As Head of Investment Banking, Mr. Schmucker initiated both Janney’s Financial Sponsors Coverage and Strategic Advisory Group. He serves on Janney’s Capital Market Executive Committee. Prior to joining Janney, Mr. Schmucker served as Managing Director at Stifel Nicolaus, was Founder and Group Head of Legg Mason's Strategic Advisory Group, and was responsible for managing Stifel’s Sponsor’s Coverage Effort and for coordinating Legg Mason's Mergers & Acquisitions practice. He was a member of Stifel’s Investment Banking Management Committee from 1999 to 2008. Prior to joining Stifel, Mr. Schmucker was a Managing Director at Legg Mason Investment Banking. Mr. Schmucker began his career at Shearson Lehman Brothers and also worked at The Middle Market Group where he focused on middle market mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Schmucker has more than 20 years of investment banking experience.

Mr. Schmucker received a B.S. in economics from The Wharton School and a B.A. in history from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
