Mr. Tierney currently leads the Industrials sector coverage effort for the Infrastructure Group.

Prior to joining Janney in 2008, Mr. Tierney was a Vice President from 2006 to 2008 in Citigroup’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York City. Mr. Tierney served as a Generalist while focusing primarily on sell-side transactions in the Industrials sector, closing transactions involving the likes of Pentair and Dover. Before Citigroup, Mr. Tierney spent five years at Rabobank, a leading European middle market bank, in their Mergers & Acquisitions Group. At Rabobank, he developed extensive buy and sell-side experience while focusing on companies in the Food & Beverage sector, closing transactions involving the likes of Fresh Del Monte Produce and ConAgra. Prior to business school, Mr. Tierney worked on the institutional fixed income sales desk at Merrill Lynch in Boston and as a Fixed Income Analyst at State Street Research, an asset management firm now owned by BlackRock.

Mr. Tierney is an active participant in the community as a member of Big Brothers, Big Sisters and Schuylkill River Park.

Mr. Tierney holds a B.A. from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from the Johnson School of Business at Cornell University. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
