Mr. Belford oversees Janney's investment banking efforts in the retail sector. Prior to joining Janney in 2009, Mr. Belford served as a Managing Director in J.P. Morgan’s Retail & Apparel Investment Banking Group, covering the apparel industry and mid-cap specialty retailers. Prior to rejoining J.P. Morgan in 2005, he was a Principal at Stevenson Partners, a private equity partnership, with responsibility for the Firm’s Consumer & Retail portfolio from 2001 to 2005. Previously, Mr. Belford was a Vice President with Lehman Brothers in the Firm’s Global Retail & Consumer Investment Banking Group (1998-2001), an Associate in J.P. Morgan’s Consumer Investment Banking Group (1995-1998) and a Financial Analyst in Smith Barney’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group (1991-1995). Mr. Belford received a B.A. in economics from Emory University.
