Janney Names Margolit Hillsberg as Chief Human Resources Officer

PHILADELPHIA – Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a leading full-service wealth management, capital markets, and asset management firm, has named Margolit Hillsberg its Chief Human Resources Officer, effective January 1, 2022. She will also join the firm’s Executive Committee. 

Margolit will be responsible for advancing Janney’s people and culture goals and objectives, spanning diversity, equity and inclusion, talent development, total rewards, recruiting and retention, among other areas. She joins the firm as part of a planned transition process with Joe Timmins, Janney’s current Head of Human Resources, announcing his retirement at the end of this year. He will continue to serve as a special advisor through the first quarter of 2022.

Margolit has extensive experience in HR, DEI, and talent management strategies. Before joining Janney, she most recently was Chief Human Resources Officer at Citadel Credit Union, and she has also held senior HR positions at Comcast and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Margolit is an accomplished public speaker and published author on HR best practices. She is actively involved in her local community, currently serving on the Board of Community Volunteers in Medicine and the DEI and Award committees of the Forum of Executive Women.
