Janney Served as Sole Manager for a $4.7 Million General Obligation Bond Issue for United School District

Transaction Overview

Janney Montgomery Scott served as the sole managing underwriter for a $4,700,000 General Obligation Bond issue for United School District.  This issue carried a rating of AA (AG Insured) from Moody’s and was bank qualified.  The bond proceeds will fund various capital improvements within the school district. The transaction was Janney’s sixth sole managed offering for the District since 2011 totaling over $43 million.

About United School District

United School District is located in Indiana County in central western Pennsylvania and covers approximately 132 square miles.  The District is comprised of Armagh Borough and the Townships of Brush Valley, Buffington, East Wheatfield and West Wheatfield, all in Indiana County. The District serves over 900 students and operates one elementary and one secondary school building facility.
