Transaction Overview

Janney Montgomery Scott served as the sole managing underwriter for a $9,700,000 General Obligation Bond issue for the School District of the Borough of Brentwood.  This issue carried a rating of AA (AG Insured) from Moody’s and was bank qualified.  The bond proceeds will be applied towards the cost of designing and constructing a new elementary school and other capital improvements to District facilities. The transaction was Janney’s fourth sole managed offering for the District since 2019 totaling over $33 million.

About the School District of the Borough of Brentwood

The School District of the Borough of Brentwood is located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and is coterminous with the Borough of Brentwood. It is five miles from downtown Pittsburgh’s “Golden Triangle.” The District is bordered by Baldwin Borough, Whitehall Borough, and the City of Pittsburgh and encompasses a land area of approximately 1.45 square miles, serving a population of approximately 10,000.
