Transaction Overview

Janney Montgomery Scott served as advisor to C&B Piping, Inc. (“C&B”) in its deal to be acquired by AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company (“AMERICAN”), a manufacturer of fire hydrants, valves, ductile iron pipe and spiral-welded steel pipe for the waterworks industry and high-frequency-welded steel pipe for the energy and carbon capture industries.

C&B is a manufacturer and supplier of ductile iron and steel piping systems headquartered in Leeds, Alabama. C&B, with locations in Gilbert, Arizona, and Amherst, Virginia, specializes in pipe fabrication, linings and coatings of ductile iron and steel products.

C&B will operate as an independent subsidiary of AMERICAN under the continued leadership of C&B President Stephen Gables. C&B, formerly a family-owned business, was founded in 1986. The company now employs approximately 215 people across its three facilities.
