Geoff Hodgson is the Head of Fixed Income at Janney Montgomery Scott, where he oversees the firm’s Fixed Income Sales & Trading, Funding & Investor Solutions, Balance Sheet Strategy, Municipal Finance, and Higher Education & Not for Profit Advisory Groups. In this role, he is focused on employing high-level, strategic initiatives that will enable Janney to better serve the needs of institutional clients.

Geoff previously served as Janney’s Head of Equities and Investment Banking. He joined Janney in 2019 as part of the acquisition of FIG Partners LLC, a premier investment banking and research firm specializing in community banks. There he served as Founder and CEO, becoming a recognized thought leader in the community bank space. He has more than 25 years of financial services industry experience.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a Bank Equity Business Development Officer for Trident Securities and an Analyst for SunTrust Capital Markets, where he focused primarily on community bank asset and liability management.

Geoff received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science in Finance degree from Georgia State University.
