While it is early to get a firm assessment on the impact of rising oil prices and Middle East tensions, we would stress the following points concerning the attacks.

Global crude oil prices have jumped more than 10% in response to Saturday’s drone attack on Saudi Arabian oil facilities, which resulted in a production loss of 5.7 million barrels per day of crude oil—half of Saudi’s productive capacity and slightly more than 5% of world oil supply.
