After setting an all-time high on February 19, 2020, the S&P 500 fell 35.4% to the March 23 low.

Then, 166 days later, the S&P set another all-time high, 54.4% above the March 23 low. Movement within the 11 S&P 500 sectors was equally volatile.

Throughout most of this year, the market focused on the Technology sector that led to the February 19 high and the rapid lift off the market’s March 23 low.
