Industry leader joins Janney as Head of National Infrastructure

PHILADELPHIA – Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a leading full-service wealth management and investment banking firm, has expanded its Municipal and Public Finance Team with the addition of Paul Creedon as Head of National Infrastructure. This move extends Janney’s concerted effort to grow its municipal business and capabilities.

Paul joins from Citigroup, where he was Co-Head of Municipal Banking and Public Finance. He brings more than 30 years of experience with a proven track record of successfully directing business strategy for top-ranked public finance banking teams and serving the financing needs of state and local governments, nonprofits, and infrastructure entities.

“Janney recently established a strategic growth plan for its Capital Markets Group that focuses on strengthening existing core investment banking areas and pursuing acquisitions, team lift-outs, and senior lateral hires,” said Vivian Altman, Head of Public Finance. “Paul is a longtime friend, and his reputation in public finance as a leader and a banker is impeccable. We’re excited to have him join the team as we expand Janney’s investment banking reach, leveraging our formidable sales, trading, research, and underwriting platform.”

Mike McCullough will also join Janney as a Vice President in the New York office, where he will support the infrastructure and transportation coverage efforts and develop a healthcare vertical.

These additions follow several other notable hires, including Bill Reisner, who joined Janney in 2023 as Head of Municipal Fixed Income, and now serves as Co-Head of Fixed Income overseeing municipal sales, trading, research, underwriting, advisory and public finance. “We’re excited to welcome Paul and Mike to Janney as we advance our Public Finance vertical into new sectors and regions,” said Bill Reisner, Co-Head of Fixed Income. “We’ve been deliberate about our expansion to ensure excellent execution and service while we continue enhancing our municipal business to better serve the needs of our issuer clients.”

Janney’s Public Finance Group works with state and local governments and government agencies to finance projects through the municipal bond market. Since 2014, Janney has acted as a senior, sole, co-senior, or co-manager on nearly 2,000 tax-exempt and taxable municipal offerings, raising over $225 billion in fixed and variable-rate bonds and notes for issuers in 42 different states and Washington, D.C.
