Jeff Smith Named Janney’s 2024 Branch Leader of the Year

PHILADELPHIA - Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a leading full-service wealth management and investment banking firm, has named Jeffrey Smith as its 2024 Branch Leader of the Year. The annual award is presented to a manager who exhibits unsurpassed dedication to superior client service, outstanding leadership, and resourceful integration of resources, both in the office and community. 

Jeff serves as Senior Vice President and Complex Director of Janney’s “Old Line” Complex, which includes offices in Bethesda, Greenspring, Hunt Valley, and Towson, Maryland as well as Washington, D.C., and Alexandria, Virginia. Jeff has been an influential leader since joining Janney in 2012, helping advisors best serve their clients, advancing growth in his complex, and exemplifying Janney’s values with a strong commitment to the local community.

Jeff has over 30 years of industry experience, previously serving in leadership roles at Morgan Stanley, Legg Mason, and Smith Barney. His tenure at Janney includes serving as Complex Manager for the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and Director of Recruiting and Business Development before returning to his hometown of Baltimore in 2021 to oversee the “Old Line” Complex and continue supporting financial advisors.
