Congratulations, Murray Carter, Financial Advisor of the Year!
PHILADELPHIA – Murray Carter has been named Janney Montgomery Scott’s 2019 Financial Advisor of the Year, an annual award presented to an advisor who exhibits unsurpassed expertise, client service, and leadership both in the office and community.
Murray is Executive Vice President/Wealth Management of CSG Capital Partners of Janney Montgomery Scott, a nine-person team based in Washington D.C. The firm advises on $1 billion in assets and is dedicated to the growth and preservation of assets, as well as building long-term relationships with clients. He and his team are also active with local charities, supporting the Abramson Scholarship, Golf for Charity, and Seagull Century Bike Ride, as well as others.

Murray is a recognized leader in the corporate retirement industry and works closely with plan sponsors and investment committees to ensure participant success. He regularly participates in the DC Fly-In Forum as a member of the National Association of Plan Advisors, where he advocates for policies to address the retirement crisis.

On a personal level, as a native of Toronto, Canada he has been a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and still plays hockey today. He also enjoys playing golf and travelling with his wife, Janine. They have two daughters and two sons. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University.
