Sheila is an Executive Vice President/Wealth Management and the director of Shaffer Wealth Advisors of Janney Montgomery Scott. Sheila and her team focus on advising their clients through the financial chapters of their lives, utilizing consultative wealth management, tailored financial planning and customized portfolio solutions.

Sheila has been named a “Best-in-State Wealth Advisor” by Forbes from 2018-2022, an “America’s Top Women Advisor” by Forbes in 2017-2021, a “Best-in-State Women Wealth Advisor” by Forbes in 2022 and was featured on AdvisorHub’s “25 Women Advisors to Watch” in 2022. In addition, Sheila has been named to Financial Times’ “Top 400 Financial Advisors” and “Top 100 Women Advisor” lists respectively and Janney’s “Financial Advisor of the Year” in 2017.

In the community, Shelia has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for The National Museum of Women in the Arts since 2008, holding several different positions. She is also a member of the International Women’s Forum of Washington D.C. 

The Outstanding Woman Advisor of the Year award was presented at Janney’s annual Women Advisor Forum to a Financial Advisor who excelled in overall performance, community engagement, and commitment to personal and professional growth.
