Experience

Tony Latini serves as Managing Director of Investment Banking at Janney. In this role, he leads the firm’s insurance industry effort with a focus on M&A advisory services and capital offerings.

Tony has over 35 years of experience providing corporate finance and investment banking services to middle market and large corporate clients. His M&A transaction experience includes an excess of $2 billion in transaction value and he has assisted in raising over $1 billion in debt and junior capital. He has significant knowledge of financial services modernization, having worked with insurance companies, banks and agencies since segments of the industry began to converge in the late 1990s.

Prior to joining Janney, Tony was Managing Director at Boenning & Scattergood, Inc. where he spearheaded the firm’s entry into serving the insurance industry. He has also held positions at Curtis Financial Group, Berwind Financial L.P., Evans & Company, Inc., and CoreStates Financial Corp.

Throughout his career, Tony has authored and delivered numerous presentations for industry conferences, corporate planning sessions, trade associations, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Federal Reserve Bank. He has been quoted in CFO Magazine, Investment Dealers’ Digest, Mergers and Corporate Policy, American Banker and National Underwriter.

Tony received a BS in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and his FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 licenses. He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Neumann University and is an active board member of the Philadelphia Fire Department Historical Corporation. Previously, he was Chairman of the Archmere Academy Board of Trustees and a Trustee of the Archmere Trust.
