Brian Stauffer joined Janney in 2021 as the firm’s Head of Institutional Equity Sales & Trading. He is an experienced Managing Director with a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges in institutional trading and research sales.

Prior to Janney, Brian was with Compass Point, where he held the position of Head of Equity Trading & Sales Trading since 2018. Prior to Compass, he spent 14 years on the trading desk at FBR & Co. (now B. Riley), where he was eventually promoted to Co-Head of Institutional Equity Trading. He began his career in trading at Credit Suisse First Boston in 1998.

Brian graduated with a BS in Finance from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business.
