Chuck Matthews has a total of 23 years in municipal finance. He spent the first 6 years of his career in Sales and Trading on the municipal bond desks for First Albany Corporation and several other firms. He then spent 13 years as a financial advisor at Public Financial Management (PFM) and most recently as an Investment Banker at RBC Capital Markets prior to joining Janney in January 2016.

Chuck has a diverse background of experience. He specializes in general municipal, water and sewer and transportation finance but has significant experience in higher education and health care. Some of his major clients are the City of Philadelphia, School District of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Turnpike, District of Columbia, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), School District of Pittsburgh, City of Norfolk VA, Hampton Roads Sanitation District and Howard County MD among others. He has also worked on transactions for Temple University Health System, Drexel University, Howard University, Morehouse College and Spelman College in an advisory capacity in the higher education and health care spaces.

Chuck has an A.B. Economics from Princeton University and an M.S. from The George Washington University. He also has his Series 7 and 63 security licenses.
