Curtis Goot serves as a Managing Director and Co-Head of Janney’s Energy Investment Banking Team, where he provides advisory services to the midstream and upstream energy sectors.
Prior to joining Janney in August of 2020, Curtis spent 10 years at Baird where he co-founded the Baird Energy Group with Frank Murphy. He has also worked at Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers, and A.G. Edwards, where he also co-founded its Energy Group in 1995. Curtis continued serving his clients with Wachovia Securities (and later Wells Fargo) upon its acquisition of A.G. Edwards in 2007. Over his more than 30-year investment banking career, Curtis has worked on hundreds of buy-side, sell-side, related-party advisory, and capital markets transactions.
Curtis earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, with concentrations in finance, accounting, and economics and holds a B.S. degree in finance from Indiana University.
