David Brown is a Managing Director of Investment Banking at Janney primarily focused on financial technology and depositories.

David has over 30 years of relevant industry experience. Most recently at PB Capital Management, a financial technology hedge fund, David was responsible for company research and portfolio management. Prior to PB Capital Management, he was an executive officer at State Bank and Trust, a $5 billion commercial bank based in Atlanta, with responsibility for corporate development, strategy, customer experience and marketing. Prior to State Bank, he was a founding principal at Sagus Partners, a hedge fund focused on the banking industry. Earlier in his career, he spent 16 years in investment banking primarily focused on financial services.

David graduated with a BA in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University and received a MBA in Finance from the University of Georgia.
