Jody Lurie is a Taxable Fixed income Strategist in Janney’s Investment Strategy Group and serves the firm’s Private Client Group as the expert in corporate bonds, preferreds and other taxable fixed income asset classes.
In this role, Jody provides commentary on overarching trends and investment ideas in taxable fixed income, as well as research and strategy about issuers’ debt structures at the micro level, offering trade recommendations and portfolio reviews to retail and institutional accounts. Prior to her current role, Jody was an investment banker in Janney’s Consumer & Retail Group.
She is frequently quoted by The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Bloomberg, CNBC, National Public Radio and other major news outlets. She is also a sought after speaker at industry events and conferences. In May 2016, she testified before the U.S. Senate Finance Committee during the hearing “Debt versus Equity: Corporate Integration Considerations.” Jody was a recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s Women of Distinction Rising Star Award in 2018. Jody received an A.B. magna cum laude in Mathematics and Economics from Bryn Mawr College.
