Mark is Janney’s Chief Investment Strategist. He leads the Investment Strategy Group (ISG), which is responsible for setting the Firm's view on the global macroeconomic framework, as well as providing commentary and outlook for the equity and fixed income markets, interest rates, and the Federal Reserve’s monetary policies.

Mark serves as the Firm’s investment spokesperson, offering broad market commentary at conferences and through various media outlets. In addition, Mark is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Janney Capital Management (JCM), the Firm’s asset management subsidiary. Under his leadership, JCM has delivered comprehensive results across its suite of investment strategies and has grown its assets under management to approximately $3.6 billion. Mark is a member of Janney’s Pension & Profit Sharing Plan Committee and serves on the Board of Directors of Janney Trust Co. Previously, Mark served on Janney’s Board of Managers.

Mark joined Janney as part of the Parker/Hunter merger in 2005, and has spent more than 30 years in the investment industry. He draws on that experience to speak on topics related to macroeconomics and the financial markets at seminars, client events, and conferences. He is frequently quoted in publications ranging from The Wall Street Journal and Barron’s to The New York Times and USA Today. In addition, he regularly appears in various media outlets, including CNBC, Fox Business News, and Bloomberg Television and Radio. Mark has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and an MBA in Finance from Gannon University and holds the Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) designation from the CMT Association, certifying his competency in the principles of technical analysis.
