PHILADELPHIA - Janney Montgomery Scott LLC has opened a new office in Akron with the addition of Financial Advisor and Branch Manager Guy Jardine, Senior Vice President/Wealth Management. Guy joins Janney from Raymond James and manages more than $300 million in client assets. He is joined by Private Client Associate Lori Cheslock.
The addition reflects Janney’s continued growth in Ohio, where 13 Financial Advisors have joined the firm across five branch offices since 2024. This growth includes the opening of new offices in Cambridge, Mansfield, and, most recently, Hudson under the leadership of Financial Advisor and Branch Manager Noel Becker. As Branch Manager, Guy will help lead Janney’s advisor recruiting efforts in the greater Akron market.
“Janney’s boutique, advisor-first culture really resonated with me,” said Guy Jardine. “I was looking for a firm that values long-term relationships, supports advisor independence, and provides the resources and accessibility needed to continue serving clients at a high level. It’s an environment that allows me to stay focused on delivering thoughtful advice and building lasting client relationships.”
Guy brings more than 28 years of industry experience to Janney. He began his financial services career in 1993 with Kidder, Peabody & Co. and has worked with individuals and families on strategies spanning financial planning, retirement planning, and wealth management.
The new Akron, Ohio office will be part of Janney’s Buckeye Complex, led by Complex Director Scott Horowitz, Executive Vice President/Wealth Management.
