Frequently Asked Questions

What types of transfers can I make through Online Access?
Clients can move money through Online Access using ACH transfers, scheduled ACH transfers, and wire transfers.

What is the difference between an ACH transfer and a wire transfer?
An ACH transfer is typically used for everyday bank-to-bank transfers, including payroll, bills, and recurring payments. A wire transfer is generally used when funds need to be sent quickly or for larger, time-sensitive transactions.

Will I need to verify my identity before submitting a transfer?
Yes, for first-time transfers to new institutions, you will be required to authenticate your identity using the mobile push authenticator. For clients who do not have the mobile app, they may verify these new banking institutions by calling their Financial Advisor.

Can I add a new external account online for a wire transfer?
Yes. You can add a new wire instruction online. For security, adding new transfer instructions requires mobile push authentication. Depending on the payment type, clients may need to provide routing number, account number, payee details, reference information, and beneficiary address information.

Are there limits or cutoff times for wire transfers?
Yes. There is a minimum amount of $1,000 and a maximum amount of $2,500,000 for wire transfers. Wires requests submitted after 2:00 PM EST may be sent the next business day.

When will my transfer be processed?
Cash transfer instructions to or from an external institution must be received by 2:00 PM ET on business days, while journal requests should typically be submitted by 4:00 PM ET. Requests received after these times may be processed on a best-efforts basis and could be completed on the next business day.

Additionally, transactions initiated through the mobile ACH process may be held for 24–48 hours for new users.
