Experience

Dan Cardenas joined Janney in July of 2022 as a Director and Equity Research Analyst covering banks and thrifts.

Prior to joining Janney, Dan worked at Boenning & Scattergood as Director, Senior Analyst also covering banks and thrifts. Before that, he served nine years as a Senior Research Analyst at Raymond James Financial, where he was responsible for providing equity research coverage on financial institutions primarily located in the Midwest and Southeast. Dan began his career in equity research in 1993 at Howe Barned Hoefer & Arnett, where he developed and led the equity research efforts for the firm for close to 20 years. Earlier in his career, he was an Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

Dan earned both a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX.  Dan holds the FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 86, and 87 licenses.
