Mr. Avila joined Janney's Public Finance group in the Chicago office in May 2023 and has over 17 years of investment banking experience. He currently serves as a lead coverage banker for major state and local government infrastructure clients in the Midwest, with a focus on issuers in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio. Prior to joining Janney, he held senior positions at Morgan Stanley, Ramirez, and US Bank. Over his career, he has executed senior managed municipal bond transactions, totaling over $7 billion in transaction volume and has experience structuring and marketing tax-exempt or taxable bonds, fixed and variable rate bonds, direct placements, and various balance sheet products including letters of credit, lines of credit, and swaps. Mr. Avila graduated cum laude from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts with a B.S. in Business Administration, with dual concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems.
