Experience

Before joining Janney in 2017 as the Firm’s credit analyst and strategist to institutional investors, Erin was an assistant vice president at Moody’s Investors Service as a bond analyst for over seven years.  In this role, she was a lead credit analyst for higher education and not-for-profit issuers across the US, primarily in states along the eastern seaboard and in the Midwest.  During her career, she has authored numerous research reports and spoken at industry conferences on topics of municipal bankruptcy, public private partnerships, debt capacity, and macro trends in the higher education sector. Erin participated in several taskforces and numerous rating committee meetings serving as lead rating analyst for a diverse portfolio of private and public institutions spanning the credit rating spectrum.

Prior to her role at Moody’s, Erin managed the financial, programmatic, and business operations at the National Center on Philanthropy and the Law, an academic center at New York University, and was a healthcare consultant to academic medical centers and nonprofit hospitals.

Erin is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Business Logistics and Business Law and a graduate of New York University with a Master of Public Administration and Policy.  Erin is on the board of the Philadelphia Area Municipal Analyst Society and former board member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA). She co-chairs the NFMA’s Industry Practices Group serving as the representative to industry regulators (SEC and MSRB).  She was named as a 2019 Rising Star in the Bond Buyer and is a Fellow of Leadership Philadelphia, Class of 2022. She is a FINRA registered representative and municipal advisor.
