Experience

Preston Carlson serves as a Vice President on Janney’s Technology Investment Banking Team.  His expertise includes advising technology companies on mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and other strategic alternatives.

Preston has over eight years of financial services and investment banking experience. He has led and participated in over 25 successful transactions for clients across the tech sector with a particular focus on Software-as-a-Service (“Saas”) businesses. Prior to joining Janney, he served as an investment banker at the Bank of Nova Scotia and Truist Securities. Preston began his career as an officer and fighter pilot in the United States Air Force.

Preston earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. in Finance and Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.
